The documenta Institute's excursion to Munich from February 16 to 18 left many lasting impressions and set impulses for future projects and conceptions.
During our visit to the Lenbachhaus and the exhibition "What Remained of 100 Days - The documenta and the Lenbachhaus", we discussed the exhibition and its reception with the director Matthias Mühling and the curator Dierk Höhne.
At the Haus der Kunst, artistic director Andrea Lissoni guided us through the current show of works by pioneering artist Joan Jonas and provided insights into the organization and structure of the renowned museum. The exchange about embedding the house in its various publics was particularly exciting.
At the Kunstverein München, curator Gloria Hasnay located the traditional house in its historical and contemporary context. Furthermore, the exhibition "off season" by Richard Frater formed a successful conclusion of the journey through Munich's art institutions.
